- Basil
- Basil is the most commonly grown herb for its various culinary uses.
Description
- It requires a warm climate to grow. The soil should be light and well drained with compost. Do not over water. Keep the soil lightly moist. Basil prefers the sun hence keeps it in a sunny location.
- You can easily grow basil in a pot from 6″ to 10″. Sow the seeds and keep in semi shade till they germinate. Gradually upon germination move them to a sunny area.
- To obtain more & better quality of fruit use Super Vegetable fertilizer once every 15 days and once every 7 days when the buds appear.(Instruction on the product pack)
- Start harvesting when there are several sets of leaves per stem. Harvest as needed for fresh use, but pick the tips first. This is encouraging. the side shoots, to grow, the plant to flourish better and also extend the Season.
